MUSCATINE, Iowa (March 29, 2010) - Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) announced today that Scott Damon, Director, Strategic Channels and Products for Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), has been promoted to Vice President, Marketing, BBTS, effective immediately. In this role, Damon will be responsible for the creation and implementation of tire solutions strategies that support BBTS’ new and retread tire sales business.

Damon began his career with BBTS in 1996 as Research Engineer, Retread Process at Bandag, Incorporated. He progressed through the company, filling many key roles in marketing. In 2005 Damon was promoted to Director of Marketing, and in 2008 was named Director, Strategic Channels and Products for BBTS. Damon holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa., and an MBA from Frostburg State University, Frostburg, Md.
