MUSCATINE, Iowa (Oct. 28, 2008) – Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) is adding two sizes to its lineup of Bridgestone R250 ED all-position radial tires. Regional and pickup-and-delivery fleets seeking better protection from the stresses of curbing, tread cuts and impacts now have more options with the new 255/70R22.5 and 275/70R22.5 tire sizes. Doyle Bradford, Director of Strategic Channels, Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), will be promoted to Vice President, Sales for BBTS, effective immediately. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 14, 2008) - Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc. (BSAH) today announced a restructuring of its Americas tire operations effective as of Jan. 1, 2009. Asahiko “Duke” Nishiyama will lead the new unit, which will be named Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO). Reporting into this unit will be the company’s Latin American tire operations, the U.S. and Canadian consumer tire businesses and the U.S. and Canadian commercial tire businesses. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2008) - Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) announced today that Singh Ahluwalia, a 32-year veteran of the Bridgestone group of companies and President of Truck and Bus Sales, Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), has elected to retire effective March 1, 2009. Ahluwalia, who will also retire from his position as member of the BFNT Board of Directors, will be succeeded by Kurt Danielson, Vice President of Marketing, BBTS. Danielson will assume Ahluwalia’s duties and move into the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing, BBTS. To provide a smooth transition, Danielson’s appointment is effective Nov. 1. MORE >
