ask the DOCTOR
With the incredibly rapid changes in technology we face today, it's more important than ever that we make the best use of the communications channels available to us for sharing information.

And, that same technology has given us many more of those channels than we used to have.

So, just for reference, let's look at the many ways you can contact Bridgestone, and some of the information we can provide to help you.

Ask your dealer or Bridgestone representative for any product or technical literature you need, or call your regional office.
How can we get hard copies of the information we need?

There are several good ways, depending on how fast you need the information. You can request data books, product catalogs and leaflets from your dealer or Bridgestone representative, or you can phone regional headquarters to make your request.

You can also request subscriptions to
Real Answers magazine, and additional copies of the Real Answers Special Editions on irregular wear and past Ask the Doctor columns, as well as our Fuel Economy Guide and other printed literature.

What about videos?

Same approach will work for those. And remember, the videos are available in both videocassette and CD-ROM form, along with quizzes you can photocopy and provide to your staff so they can evaluate their learning.

Your dealer or Bridgestone representative
will be happy to help you with your requests for information.

And if we're really in a hurry?
There are actually two answers, depending on whether you're in a hurry to make your request or in a hurry to get the information. The fastest way to make your request would be either via FAX or e-mail. If you need any kind of Bridgestone publication, you can FAX your request to 615-231-3629 or e-mail to the Tire Doctor. We’ll respond right away.

A variety of telephone and FAX numbers are also available, many of them toll-free, where you can request information about Bridgestone products and services.

What if we just need an answer – fast?

Fortunately, just about every bit of Bridgestone product and technical information is also available through our web site: www.trucktires.com.

You’ll find data book information there, including product specifications, load and inflation tables, tech bulletins and installation and maintenance recommendations.

Not only that, www.trucktires.com is also a great way to research things you want to learn more about. You can do keyword searches of all past issues of Real Answers, hone in on tire selections by defining how and where you’ll use them, and find all the latest news about Bridgestone and its products and services.

There’s even a place, in the University Library section of the web site, where you can download copies of our educational videos.

Best of all, of course, is the fact that this Internet-based information source is ready to serve you, 24/7/365.

Award-winning video programs are available through your Bridgestone representative, and in downloadable form via our web site, www.trucktires.com.

How about emergency road service?

If you’re a National Fleet or National Preferred customer, you have special, toll-free numbers to call that will immediately put you in touch with skilled call center operators who can hook you up with qualified dealers and truckstops for tire services, and a host of mechanical service providers for other needs.

Again, you can also visit www.trucktires.com, and find the nearest tire dealer or truckstop yourself, using the Emergency Road Service Provider directory you’ll find there.

The online list is far more up to date than any printed directory could be and allows you to select from a variety of nearby service providers. If the vehicle is driveable, you can even get a map to the dealer or truckstop you select.

What other kinds of information can we get?

The web site, www.trucktires.com, also has links that will let you pose your tire-related questions to “the Tire Doctor.” You can e-mail your knottiest tire problem to the Tire Doctor (actually, our entire engineering and technical staff), and we’ll respond right away with an answer based on our experience and knowledge.

You can also request regular updates about products, technical information and offers, by signing up for Information Express via www.trucktires.com. From time to time, we’ll e-mail you with the latest information available.

If your computers or peripheral equipment are old and tired, or if you want to expand your capabilities, we can even help you with our Business Supply Exchange program, which lets you benefit from Bridgestone’s purchasing power to get great prices on a variety of computer equipment, peripherals, software and services.

How about educational programs?

Your best bet is to contact your Bridgestone representative. They’ve all been trained to be able to make presentations to you and your staff, even to help you conduct effective driver meetings.

Whatever your educational needs, your Bridgestone representative can put together a program for you and can also provide you with our Longer Mileage Program kits, including our award-winning videos, that you can use to create your own programs.

And if we just want to find out more about some of these tools?

Again, your Bridgestone representative will be happy to explain any of our many programs, along with how you can use them to best advantage. We’re constantly creating new “Real Answers” that we hope will be helpful to you.
