Ready to fly. Glenn Brown, inside the roll cage of CFI’s “Red Racer – Flat Out,” a new Kenworth T2000 with a specially built Cummins engine, running on Bridgestone tires normally found only on the Boeing 737.

Glenn Brown, chairman and president of Contract Freighters, Inc. of Joplin, Missouri, does. Brown and CFI race three specially prepared Kenworth T2000 tractors. One has twin Cummins diesel engines for drag racing. Another is specially configured for the annual Pikes Peak hill climb. The third is set up to break the world’s land speed record.

During October, at the Southern California Timing Association/Bonneville Nationals, Inc. (SCTA/BNI) World Finals at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Glenn Brown put the pedal to the metal.

Running in two different classes, he broke one world’s record and set another.
