How's the Ride?

"Keep on truckin'!" must be a family motto.

This is Randy Harden's 2006 GMC Crew Cab. He owns Jim's Towing Service, a towing and recovery outfit in Bakersfield, California. His son talked him into adding more "truck" to his pickup.

So he did. No, your eyes aren't deceiving you - those are Bridgestone Greatec wide base drive radials mounted on aluminum wheels in the rear. The "steers," if you will, are M726 EL.

Randy drives the truck several times a week and says the ride is really smooth.

People often stare, which can create problems. Drivers tend to steer toward the object they're staring at, so Randy has to constantly watch for vehicles wandering into his lane.

So his truck rolls smoothly on its Greatec tires, and Randy credits his friends at Performance Off Road and Automotive Accessories in Bakersfield for the 15-inch lift. And he credits his son for having the idea.

We have to admit, Randy's "ride" is kind of cool. Keep on truckin'
