Are you ‘darn well worth it’?
Remember those ads for a certain brand of TV? “Expensive, and darn well worth it!” What was that brand? (Answer at bottom of page.)
This issue of Real Answers is about many things and their worth. We’ll explore how a shortage of drivers might affect freight rates and driver wages, and yet, be good news for fleets.
Berger Transfer of St. Paul shows us how they’ve proven they’re worth it, for over a century, starting with a horse and cart. Not only are they still moving families, but also high-tech hospital and industrial gear.
We’ll show our R197 new tire/B197 retread duo, the first of what will be many similar tire/retread pairs in the future.
We’ll also consider the value of “getting back to the basics” of tire care, and how doing simple things can still pay.
Then, we’ll explore a way for trucks to deliver medical care wherever it’s needed.
And with the price of fuel climbing again, we show how an inexpensive commodity, compressed air, can help conserve an expensive commodity, diesel fuel. In short, inflation pressure maintenance is well worth it.
We’ll also explain why we’re working diligently to use less of one commodity that is rapidly rising in price.
And, on the back cover, we consider how much the lowly dandelion could be worth.
We hope you’ll find this issue of Real Answers “darn well worth it.”
Finally, a few words about how we’ve realigned our truck tire, retreading and off-road activities into a new entity, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions.
Our business is to provide solutions for our customers, and with this realignment, we will better leverage our talent, create a more cohesive team, and offer a higher level of service. It’s all part of our commitment to making sound decisions that will benefit you and our business for the long term.
